COMPANY PROFILE

Mikra Metal s.r.o. founded in 1992 is one of the leading stainless steel stockist in the Czech republic and plays a substantial role within the whole central European region. With its own warehouse and very advantageous geographical location the company is heading towards a strong expansion. Implementing new technologies and modernization of the company information and quality system brings Mikra Metal closer to the highest international standards. The quality system ISO 9002 was implemented by TÜV CERT in 1999.  

 
 

The company is trading the stainless steel assortment, mainly hot and cold rolled sheets and coils of as standardized as special sizes, bars, seamless and welded tubes, square and rectangular tubes, welded and seamless welding fittings. The scale is completed with vessel heads, screwed fittings, pipe valves, screws, nuts and flanges.

THE COMPANY IN DATES

1992
Mikra Metal Ltd. was founded in the second half of 1992. The owners´ structure is unchanged since its incorporation.

1995
Due to constant growth of the company turnover and positive forecast for the stainless steel market in the region the Experts Study for the next years development was prepared. It resulted to a Project of building own warehouse and administration offices in Ostrava. Building area of 20 000 square meters was purchased.  

1997
Finished building of the warehouse &. the admin area. The stock capacity of the warehouse is 1000 sq. m. Offices are located on an area of 800 square meters. The building is fully equipped with computing &. communication network, retail shop sales place, conference room, parking area and other necessary equipment.    

 
1998
Dealing with a stainless steel plates of extra large sizes (over 2 x 6 m) resulted in the necessity of purchasing special forklift for handling these sheets. Lifting capacity of the machine is 8 tons and large size sheets manipulation is made much easier.  

1999
The quality System ISO 9002 was implemented by TÜV CERT.
2000
Beginning of communication system set up, ISDN instalation, the company IT needs evaluation.

2001
WWW site construction, implementation of company IT system K2.
